Professor Louis-Philippe Boulet is Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Laval University, Canada, and a pulmonologist at the Québec Heart and Lung Institute, Québec, Canada. He is Chair of the Knowledge Transfer, Education and Prevention in Respiratory and Cardiovascular Health at Laval University and chairs the Board of Directors of the Global Initiative for Asthma.
Professor Boulet’s research interests include mechanisms of development and physiopathology of asthma and airway hyperresponsiveness, phenotyping asthma in various populations, respiratory health of elite athletes and patient/medical education, knowledge translation, and guideline implementation.
During his career, Professor Boulet has published more than 700 medical publications, 600+ abstracts, 43 book chapters, and has edited/authored 17 books. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Journal of Respiratory, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine and Associate Editor of various medical journals. Additionally, he is the President of Interasma – the Global Asthma Association, and a member of many national and international committees in the field of respiratory health.
